Asspectations, shown left, is one fast ass.

The donkeys arrived in plenty of time to have a nice rest in the shade before racing. Children and adults poured out in mass to see the ass.  Friends, neighbors, relatives , locals and tourists greeted each other warmly.

Food and Drinks booths along with  retail vendors were set up to  feed and drink all comers.

Odors of mutton, conch, saltfish, barbque chicken, ribs, and  fish  filled the air.  Dinners were paired with local favorites such as fired plantains, coconut rice and peas, coleslaw, mashed sweet potatoes,  fungi, breadfruit, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, boiled green bananas, bread pudding, goat water,  and stews.

Liquid refreshments were plentiful with traditional Mauby Drinks, Guavaberry Liquor, Bottled Beers, Rums and assorted liquor. Also available were Smoothies of fresh fruits, locally grown  such as pineapple, mango, papaya, and bananas.
